A Little About
Kirsten Schafer

Everyone who knows me know that I love helping people gain control over their thoughts, hormones, and eating habits to gain the bodies they dream of.

Now years after giving birth to seven children, I love my body and my weight. But it hasn’t always been this way. Like most of us, I grew up comparing myself to my sisters, friends, and even strangers. 

I have followed thosae thin ladies on Instagram and Facebook that offered those quick diet hacks and fun meal plans.

I’ve tried to lose 25 pounds by doing this new exercise or drinking that new drink. 

I’ve tried dozens of things to lose weight after each pregnancy, only to gain a little more back.

 

I was traveling in Australia with my family the year I turned 40. We had just finished a year-long sailing adventure with all seven kids across the Pacific Ocean. Life was great but I still ws carrying extra weight from my last pregnancy. And losing extra weight seemed nearly impossible. 

Up until then, I believed that if I could have more willpower, find the right combination of foods, take the right health supplements, and double down on my exercise routine, I would finally be healthy, and then I could also be happy with my body.  I told myself this was the year. And having just spent the last 12 months without social media or other distractions, I was in a great mental space to try something new. 

I decided to begin loving myself exactly as I was that day.
It was a huge step and a very intentional choice.

On my 40th birthday, I gave myself a new gift. I made myself a promise to honor myself and my needs.

 I chose to become friends with myself.

I woke up early that morning and ran along a nearby river. On that run, with the sun on my face, I made a promise. No matter what happened, I promised to make 40 my best year ever. We did all the things that day. 

I let the kids cook me a fabulous breakfast. We picked fresh strawberries and found a giant Labyrinth to get lost in. We laughed and played all day. 

But the most important thing was that something changed in my brain that day. And guess what? 40 was my best year ever. 

And so was 41, and each year since

I am turning fifty in a few months, and I plan on 50 being the best year of my life. And 60 and 70. 

All this is not to say I had no more issues with my body or mind after that. I am still human, after all. But I now have the tools to manage my mind and my habits around food and nutrition.

My body challenges were a gift. Using concrete steps, I let go of some things I had pushed down for years and finally let go of weight I had held on to for years. I learned to love myself, and I balanced my hormones naturally. 

Now that I know this path hundreds of people have been coached to let go of unwanted body fat using these same steps. I am so thrilled for you as you embark on this journey of discovery for your health and see what is possible for your body and life when you follow this same path.
